Forget your morning coffee and perhaps opt for this luscious mint green in colour matcha latte; aims to provide you with all those amazing antioxidants. Need that brain power for the day ahead? Well, not only matcha can help with concentration due to the presence of amino acids, but it is also relatively high in green tea flavonoids which gives an antioxidant effect on your body.
The best thing is – only takes a few minutes to brew up a cup, so it’s not time consuming at all!
What you’ll need:
- Matcha powder
- Mug of Milk
- Milk frother
Right, this brewing process is actually really simple, so first…
1. Begin by measuring a mug of milk (whatever type of milk you fancy), then pour into a pan and heat with the matcha powder until warm.
3. Et viola… there’s your very matcha latte – absolutely simple to make and tastes very smooth! Personally, I like my matcha latte without any sweeteners, but if you’d like to, you can also add a drop of honey.
I find that it’s much easier to make a matcha latte than buying it instantly since most instant sachets are overly sweetened.
You can purchase matcha from Teapigs here; they source a variety of matcha – with their newest being their premium matcha and mint.
